About Rob

My name’s Rob Ainscough and have over 25 years of experience in teaching the guitar, having taught students of all ages across Bolton, Horwich and Westhoughton how to play the guitar. I have taught complete beginners as well as those with years of playing experience who’ve been looking to take their guitar playing to the next level. Many of my students have gone on to form and play in their own bands and some have even become guitar teachers themselves.

As a full-time mobile guitar teacher, I can teach you how to play guitar in the comfort of your own home with lessons available for adults and kids aged 10 years and over. Whatever styles of music or songs you wish to learn to play, I will teach them to you. With vast experience having taught guitar professionally for three decades, I can take your guitar playing to the next level, whether you want to learn how to shred, play slap bass, master blues scales, improvise solos or simply play your favourite songs.

I have been in many bands throughout his career, playing everything from psychedelic rock to metal, and has even played on hit TV series Big Brother twice; once in the studio as part of Big Brother’s Little Brother and the second time inside the actual Big Brother house for the finale party for series 7 which saw Pete Bennett win the show.
